Monday - Friday: 08:00 - 20:00  The occupational medicine consultations are intended to assess the health conditions of the employees in their relation to the working environment and to offer consultancy for the employers regarding professional risk factors and manners to avoid them.
The employer is compelled to know the situations resulted after the risk evaluation regarding the employees’ health and to update such assessments if any significant changes occur due to which the assessment may be over passed or when the results of the health supervision impose it. The employers are compelled to provide funds and conditions for all prophylaxis medical services necessary to monitor the employees’ health condition, the employees not being involved in any way in the costs afferent to the prophylaxis medical supervision specific for the professional risks. In their turn, the employees are compelled to attend the medical examinations as regards health supervision at the working place, according to the schedule drafted by the occupational medicine doctor with the employer’s approval and is compelled to comply with all medical recommendations.
Occupational medicine doctor’s responsibilities:
- Main advisor of the employer and of the employees’ representatives;
- Organizes the supervision of the employees’ health by medical examinations at employment, adaptation examinations, on a regular basis, resuming the professional activity;
- Establishes occupational skills;
- Participates to the professional risk factor evaluation;
- Inspects the working places;
- Biological monitoring of professional exposure and biological effects subsequent to exposure (OMS 803/2001)
- Registration of professional diseases, diseases related to the profession, chronic diseases related to occupational;
- Organizes first aid;
- Attends to CSSM.
UMC occupational medicine in 4 steps
- After signing the agreement, the employer shall dispose for UMC all professional risk exposure records for each employee;
- The occupational medicine doctor shall inspect working places and shall advise the employer regarding occupational medicine activities;
- The occupational medicine medical examinations shall be performed according to HG 355/2007 and according to the professional risk exposure record
- The occupational medicine report shall be drafted and presented by the occupational medicine doctor of Unirea Medical Center during the first trimester of each calendar year for the previous year.

B. The periodic medical examination is performed within UMC Iride – our personal occupational medicine center, on grounds of an appointment call center. It may be performed at the client’s address, provided that the following conditions are met: the employer shall dispose for the medical team the appropriate space necessary to conduct the clinical examination and the space to conduct the para clinical investigations. For a fine development of such examination, it is necessary that the employer fills in and send the list of employees and afferent framing to UMC occupational medicine department.

Deployment manner:
- Conducted annually, compulsory for all employees
- The occupational medicine doctor can modify the period
- Medical events recorded from employment or from the last examination
- Medical examination results are recorded in the medical record
- The conclusion of the examinations recorded in the Skill Chart

At the end of the periodic medical examination, UMC occupational medicine department shall issue the situation of the employees’ presence for the Periodic examination.

After the employment / activity resuming / adaptation medical examination and after the periodic medical examination, if the occupational medicine doctor issued the skill chart with recommendations, both the employer and the employee are compelled to comply with the recommendations from the occupational medicine doctor.
Additional medical examinations shall be recommended by the occupational medicine doctor to establish the final skills. The employee is compelled to present to the specialist doctor (according to the recommendation of the occupational medicine doctor) and to send the result of such consultation to the occupational medicine doctor.
